Realme launches India’s first smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor

Realme, India’s first brand to launch a 5G enabled smartphone, on Friday unveiled its much anticipated first 5G smartphone in its number series – Realme 8 5G priced at Rs 14,999 (4GB+128GB) and Rs 16,999 (8GB+128GB), respectively, says a top official of the company at a virtual press briefing.

According to him, Realme 8 5G is India’s first smartphone equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, crafted with excellence and trendsetting features like super slim design, ultra-smooth display, dual 5G dual standby, massive battery with smart 5G power-saving and excellent camera quality. realme 8 5G provides a comprehensive experience for smartphone users at the most affordable price, offering nothing but the best to its customers and bringing realme closer to its goal of becoming a 5G leader in India.

Commenting on the occasion of the launch,  Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and Chief Executive Officer, realme India and Europe said, “At realme, bringing cutting-edge and emerging technology to our customers has always been a priority. Answering to a query on upgrade offer for loyal customers, Sheth said that this scheme was available for all smartphones priced at Rs 15,000 and above.

Talking about affordable smartphones for students to attend to online classes, he said that keeping this in mind the company had a launched a range of smartphones priced at Rs 7,000 which would also cater to the needs of migrant labours to stay connected while on the move.

The smartphone has a 5000mAh massive battery, along with a Smart 5G Power Saving mode.
