An exclusive and inspiring fifth edition of 3-days BSF Boot Camp for youths concluded at Suigam in Banaskantha District in Gujarat concluded on Sunday. The Boot Camp was an initiative of BSF Gujarat, driven by the vision of border tourism and aligned with BSF’s dedication of engaging youth of the nation, commenced with a motive to instill patriotism, discipline, and physical fitness, while deepening comprehension of the pivotal role of BSF in national security.
The fifth edition featured 20 students from Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Beyond the core programme which included physical training, obstacle course negotiation, weapon handling, map reading exercises, route marches and other adventurous activities, participants were also engaged in games, local sightseeing and visit to Seema Darshan, Nadabet and witness the famed Retreat Ceremony by BSF at Nadabet.
This camp also offered diverse immersive experience through other activities such as cultural programme and camp fire providing a platform to showcase the young students their artistic skills and develop greater social cohesiveness.
Besides developing soldierly skills, the boot camp intended to provide a transformative experience to participants through enhanced leadership abilities, confidence, acquisition of new skills, a refreshing break from routine, exposure to the BSF lifestyle, improved physical fitness, discipline, and a nurtured sense of team spirit, says a release from the Public Relations Officer, BSF Gujarat Frontier.
