Sixty-two students of Velammal Nexus Schools, Chennai qualified for the Indian National Olympiads (INO) stage two examinations conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai, says a release from the school.
The release issued by Principal Muthuraj said that students excelled in the National Standard Examination (NSEP, NSEC, NSEB AND NSEA) 2019 (stage one).
Number of students qualified for each subjects are: Physics – 11, Chemistry – 27, Biology 18 and Astronomy 6.
The National Standard Examination is conducted to test the knowledge of science among the students on pan India level. This is the first stage of qualifying examination followed by the Worldwide Olympiad programme that follows five stage processes.
Management congratulated the 62 students who had excelled in the NSE examinations, the release adds.
