Tamil Nadu Minister for Dairy Development K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji, known for his witty and sarcastic comments, eulogised Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Wednesday.
Participating in an event at Thirukkadaiyur in Nagappattinam district, the minister praised the Chief Minister as “Modern-day Rajaraja Chola’’ as he had announced that Cauvery Delta as protected Special Agriculture Zone and will not allow extraction of methane from there
The minister said, “Our Chief Minister has made it clear that the delta districts would become Protected Special Agricultural Zone. He will take all possible efforts to enact a law, and insist the Central government approve it. Chief Minister’s word is the opinion of eight crore people (of the State.)”
“Chola mandalam gave rice to the world. Our CM has saved farmers. We have heard of Karikala Chola and Rajaraja Chola. But our CM is a ‘Modern-Day Rajaraja Chola,’” the minister said.
