Mane. a global leader in Fragrance and Flavours manufacturing from France, on Sunday inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. Spread across 20,500 sqft, the new facility is located at Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and is the largest manufacturing unit for the company in India.
The plant was inaugurated by Jean Mane, Chairman, Mane Group along with Bernard Leynaud, Director, Asia Pacific, Mane Group and Sumit Dasgupta, Managing Director, Mane India Pvt Ltd.
Equipped with advanced technology and world-class facilities, Mane’s new plant aims to fulfill the growing demand in flavour and fragrance markets across the Indian and APAC region. The company has invested 20 million euros in setting up the new plant. The initial production capacity of the plant is 2000 tons for flavour and 3000 tons for fragrance, with sufficient scope to expand as the market grows in the future. This new facility is Mane’s second production unit in India, with the first present in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Commenting on the occasion, Sumit Dasgupta, Managing Director, Mane India Pvt Ltd, said “We are happy to inaugurate our second and largest facility in India. As one of India’s biggest chemical zones with easy connectivity to ports, Dahej was strategically the right move for us to expand our footprint in the country. The availability of skilled manpower and accessibility of raw material suppliers are also some of the other key factors that played a critical role in our entry into Gujarat. Depending on the demand, we will continue to invest in the plant and ramp up our capacity in the near future.”

The plant will be producing high quality Liquid types of fragrance and flavours which will be at par with other global Mane manufacturing plants.
