Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday tweeted some basic protection measures for coronavirus or COVID-19 as he asked people not to panic.
“There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

Modi’s tweet came a day after three people, including an Italian national, tested positive for the deadly and spreading coronavirus in the country.
Convenes emergency meeting
Had an extensive review regarding preparedness on the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Different ministries & states are working together, from screening people arriving in India to providing prompt medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has convened an emergency meeting at his office on Tuesday afternoon, after two persons were found infected with coronavirus in the country.
Ministers, officials from various departments took part in the meeting. Officials were instructed on preventive measures including intensifying screening of passengers coming from overseas at all the airports in the country etc.
