On the second day of the Gujarat State Futsal Championship at Sama Indoor Stadium in Vadodara, Baroda Football Academy defeated Rising Sun Football club by 7-1. The Rising Sun had a good start by scoring the first goal of the match in the first half, and the Baroda team struggled to open its account. But it scored seven consecutive goals in the second half and won the match. Avi Amin, who scored two back to back goals for the Baroda Football Academy in thirty-fifth minute became ‘Man of The Match’.
The second match of the day was held between ARA and Shahibaug Football Club, Ahmedabad in which ARA won by 15-3. ARA team played aggressive game from the beginning and scored 9 goals in the first half and 6 goals in the second. Shahibaug team did score 3 goals in the first half, but their resistance ended soon as they could not add to their tally of goals. Prateek Swami (Jersey no. 16) of A.R.A. became ‘Man of The Match’.
Third encounter was between Suryavanshi Football Club and Parul Football Club of Vadodara. Suryavanshi scored total five goals in the match, including four in the first half and a lone goal in the second. Parul Club could not even open its account in the first half, but it gave a good fight in the second half by scoring three goals. Suryavanshi Football Club became the ultimate winner by 5-3. Dhaval Makwana, the goalkeeper of Suryavanshi Football club (Jersey no. 2) was awarded with ‘Man of The Match’.
The fourth and last match on Thursday was played between Lakshya Football Club and Juggernaut Ahmedabad. Lakshya Team proved very poor opponent to Juggernaut team. The Juggernaut team won the match by 41-3. Aman Shah (Jersey No. 7), the captain of Juggernaut team was declared ‘Man of The Match’. He alone scored sixteen goals for the team.
