Noted Kathakaar and Ramcharit Manas exponent Morari Bapu’s Ramkatha in Morbi, which was dedicated to paying tributes to those killed in last year’s Morbi bridge disaster, culminated on Sunday. During the event, Morari Bapu, along with Member of Parliament Mohanbhai Kundaria and Shivram Bapu, visited the families of the people who had tragically lost their lives in the bridge collapse.
Speaking at the end of the Ramkatha on Sunday, Morari Bapu made it clear that family members of some of the victims he had met expressed forgiveness towards those who are in prison following the bridge collapse. He clearly stated that since the case is currently sub judice, it would be inappropriate to comment on it. Instead, he spoke about the profound impact of the Ramkatha on people’s thoughts and how it has transformed their perspectives. It is important to note that Morari Bapu did not seek the release of those in prison.
The accompanying video of Morari Bapu’s comments during the Ramkatha confirms this. Morari Bapu only emphasised that the Ramkatha is touching people’s hearts and inspiring positive change.
