Delhi Public School (DPS) Bopal hosted the fifth edition of SPARK, a research paper presentation competition aimed at enhancing students’ research proficiency, knowledge, and communication skills, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from grade XI students.
The grand finale featured two rounds, the first being a research presentation by the participants, followed by an engaging second round involving interactive sessions with judges and panellists.
Satish Kumar Singh, AGM and Head of Learning and Development Department at the local head office of Ahmedabad Circle of State Bank of India, and CA Kulinkumar J Thakkar, founder of Thakkar & Co, judged the competition. They analysed and evaluated the students’ presentations and felicitated the winners.
Inspired by the G20 Summit hosted by India, the focus of the research work topics was trade and investment. Some of the topics covered in the research papers included the Israel-Palestine Conflict, Impact of GIFT City on the Indian economy, Accelerating growth in the Indian EV ecosystem, and more.
The school’s Director Vandana Joshi was among the dignitaries who graced the event. In her keynote address, she emphasised the significance of meaningful participation that nurtures expression of views, influences decision-making and leads to positive change. She urged students to follow their passions.
Reflecting on the event’s success, Joshi said, “SPARK is a key part of our commitment to nurturing holistic education. The research presentations were truly commendable and showcased the knowledge and analytical skills of our students. We believe that events like this are essential to prepare students for the challenges of the future.”
The fifth edition of SPARK was a transformative learning experience imparting knowledge and inspiration to the students.
