All pet-loving Amdawadis, do get ready for a purr-fectly fantastic day filled with feline fun as The Feline Club of India, a passionate community of cat lovers, is organizing the second edition of Cat Show here on Saturday, February 10 at Gwalia SBR.
For all cat parents, it’s your chance to showcase your adorable fur babies, feline friends and share their unique personalities with fellow cat aficionados at the biggest cat show in the city.
This show offers cat owners a valuable chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts and gain insights into their cats’ behaviors and requirements.
Speaking with the media, Saquib Pathan, President, FCI, said, “The show will have more than 200 purr-fect companions, including breeds such as Persians, Maine Coon, Bengal and our very own IndiMau from Gujarat and other states. Cat shows provide a wonderful platform to connect with fellow cat parents and enthusiasts, allowing your cat to make new friends. FCI has nearly 7,000 registered cat parents in Ahmedabad Region. For city residents, having pet cats won’t make any resistance from their neighbours unlike the dogs. Further, maintaining cats is easier and they are the best companions even for lonely hearts.”

The event aimed to create excitement among cat parents, to ensure they get quality time with their feline companions and capture the best moments with them. Moreover, cat parents could mingle and gain insights from renowned judges on how to care for their pets while the fur babies enjoyed being the centre of attention.
You can either register your cats and participate in the event or simply drop by to admire some of the most adorable and finest cats brought in by their owners for the show. Pre-registration is required for cat participants.
Attendees will have access to information on grooming, adaptation, and registration.
Additionally, there will be stalls featuring cat food and other related materials. During the ‘Championship Cat Show’, the winning cat will be selected based on internationally established criteria. These criteria take into account the cat’s species, weight, growth and overall health.
It is essential to assess whether your cat meets these standards and if you are providing proper care for her. The judging of the championship cat show will be conducted by Allan Raymond from Australia and Saquib Pathan (President, FCI).
Poorvi Anthony (Co-Founder of Just Dogs India, a chain of Petshops across India), Digamber Khot (Team Member of FCI), Shazeb Mokamjiwala (representative from drools), Mahera Memon (Ahmedabad team member, FCI), Rakib Shaikh (Ahmedabad team member, FCI) were also present at the curtain-raiser of the Championship Cat Show.
