NE BUSINESS BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, MARCH 25
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing a complete lockdown of all public and private sector offices till April 14, except essential services amidst growing concern over the spread of coronavirus and most employees or clients deciding to work from home, Incuspaze, a premium co-working spaces with a pan India multi-city presence has announced a slew of measures to ensure the safety of its tenants and their employees working from their properties around the country.
Speaking to navjeevanexpress.com, Mohit Srivastava as Chief Operating Officer dwelt at length on the precautionary steps taken up by the brand against coronavirus and the company’s long-term measures.
“As responsible workspace providers, we have been working very closely with all our asset owners and also following all the guidelines given by the respective government bodies concerning precautionary protocols. For our clientele, our approach towards ensuring their safety is multi-folded. The first thing taken into consideration is the fact that despite being surrounded by uncertainty, few people with crucial business endeavours can’t stop coming to work. To ensure their safety, we have installed thermal temperature scanners by Agrex in all our centres. These thermal scanners aid in a preliminary screening of people having a fever to eliminate chances of spreading the infection and since the ones that we have installed convert IR radiations into detectable pixel values, we can measure temperature even from a distance and can monitor crowds,” Mohit said.
Effective risk mitigation technique
Elaborating on the safety measures followed at Incuspaze properties spread over in thirteen operational centers in six cities, he said, “We also understand that once the most critical phase of this pandemic is over, our members could still be fearful when going back to work. Therefore, we are preparing for that time, starting today, to help in an easier transition into the ‘new normal’. We are also encouraging the concept of distributed teams across all our workspaces as we believe it is an effective risk mitigation technique. Along with that, we are also offering our existing customers the provision to move a critical section of their team to a tier 2 location of our centre, where the impact of the virus is currently lower so that members can feel safe in the workspace. Additionally, we have also installed tablets in every location, allowing people working from home and act as a virtual centre manager when required, through constant video streaming,”
According to Mohit, all Incuspaze buildings have strict access control measures in place not limited to visitors being checked and scanned at the entrance. Anyone found to be over the prescribed norms of body temperature is not allowed on the premises. We have also discouraged all food delivery and other delivery agents from e-commerce companies to deliver inside the office premises.
Stress on sanitation and personal hygiene
The properties are equipped and provided with an ample supply of hand sanitisers for our community users to use and safeguard themselves. The brand has also conducted simulation activities explaining the need for maintaining high standards of personal hygiene. All our support staff is running extra vigilant cleanliness measures. The entrance door of all facilities, the bathroom doors, handles, water taps, etc are wiped with commercial-grade solutions every 30 minutes, Mohit added.
Moreover, Incuspaze housekeeping staff has also been briefed and beefed up given the extra precautions we are taking. We are spreading the message of work from home options to our community and also extending all the help we can to facilitate the move. Incuspaze has also deployed a rotating roster for our teams so that we only have a limited number of resources in a facility. Discouraging all external visitors to hold meetings in our premises, enforcing a mandatory hand wash for 20 seconds every hour by our pantry and housekeeping teams and conducting a fumigation and sanitisation drive at the end of every day across our centres are some of the preventive measures taken to ensure a healthy environment.
As the situation is still unfolding we are continuously evolving and adopting any measures we can to safeguard our customers, partner, and employees.”
