AHMEDABAD, JUNE 5
In a bid to champion environmental conservation, sustainability and promote its awareness, the students of Delhi Public School-Bopal, Ahmedabad, actively engaged in observing World Environment Day on Wednesday, 5th June, 2024.
Primary School students made seed balls using readily available materials such as clay, soil, and seeds. This hands-on activity taught them the importance of reforestation.
The Green Warriors of the Senior School actively involved themselves in a poster-making activity on the topic of ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience,’ the pressing need for individual and collective action to safeguard our natural environment amidst escalating ecological challenges. They also adopted a plant, committing to its care and ensure nature conservation.
As a part of our e-waste recycling initiative, students were tasked with gathering their unused electronic devices—such as old phones, batteries, and computers and submit them to school for proper disposal and recycling once it opens. This initiative raised awareness about the hazards of electronic waste and taught them responsible e-waste management within our community.
