BSF Gujarat Frontier Inspector General Abhishek Pathak, IPS, felicitated the winners at the valedictory ceremony of 44th BSF Inter-Frontier Wrestling Cluster-2024 here on Saturday.
The 44th BSF Inter-Frontier Wrestling Cluster-2024, which began on Tuesday, July 23 concluded on Saturday, July 28 with a glorious Closing Ceremony at the BSF Campus in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Saturday. The ceremony marked the successful culmination of a thrilling tournament that witnessed commendable displays of skill, determination, and sportsmanship from wrestlers representing various frontiers.
The Inspector General’s gracious presence served as a source of motivation and inspiration for the participating athletes and the entire sporting community.
700 players from 11 Frontiers of Eastern and Western Command of BSF participated in the event.
During the closing ceremony, the chief guest presented trophies to the winners, runners-up and best players for their outstanding performance.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Abhishek Pathak, IPS, Inspector General, Gujarat Frontier congratulated all the winners and participants for their performance and display of sportsmanship. He emphasized on importance of sports in character building and enhancing team spirit apart from physical and mental fitness. He also wished all the players good luck and bright future.
In the enthusiastic atmosphere of closing ceremony, Assam’s folk-dance Bihu and Punjabi Bhangra were also performed showcasing the rich and diverse heritage of our country.
During the closing ceremony, the chief guest was greeted by a grand and excellent march past by all the teams on the melodious martial tunes played by the brass band of Gujarat Frontier.
The BSF Inter-Frontier Wrestling Cluster has not only provided a competitive platform for talented athletes but has also strengthened bond among participants from different frontiers. The spirit of unity and sportsmanship was evident throughout the tournament. BSF, renowned for fostering a culture of sportsmanship and fitness, took pride in organizing this prestigious wrestling cluster. The event showcased the commitment of the force in encouraging the spirit of sports among its ranks and beyond.
