Revered spiritual leader and the Art of Living Founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, will visit Gujarat from Thursday to Monday-October 31 to November 4. He will attend a series of special Diwali and New Year events in Ahmedabad, Vasad and Surat during his visit.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s visit comes at a time of celebration and reflection, and he will lead several sacred rituals, workshops and events designed to bring people together in a spirit of renewal and joy.
He will reach Ahmedabad on October 31 and participate in the Diwali special Maha Laxmi Homa and Chopda Pujan rituals from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Karnavati Club in Ahmedabad. Celebrating the goddess of wealth, Maha Laxmi, this special homa seeks blessings for prosperity and abundance.
On the morning of November 1, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will participate in a remarkable initiative to promote environmental sustainability. The Art of Living Foundation is organising the “Seed the Earth” event at the SVIT campus in Vasad, which will see more than 5,000 participants come together to create 2.5 lakh seed balls of over 100 varieties and create a greener India. The event aims for two world records – the highest number of seed balls made and the longest slogan created using seed ball trays. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat will also grace the occasion.
At 6 pm on November 2, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will take part in the New Year special Govardhan Puja, an auspicious ceremony symbolising gratitude toward nature and honouring the earth’s abundant gifts. On November 3, Gurudev will participate in Aashirwad Mahotsav in Surat where programme around Gaan, Gyan and Dhyan will be performed.
On November 4, he will participate in the Rudra Puja, a powerful ritual invoking Lord Shiva’s blessings for inner strength, peace and transformation. The ritual will take place at 8:30 am at (venue).
