AHMEDABAD, SEPT 19
For more than 107 years, Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization, has been driving humanitarian change across the globe. With over four million members across 200+ countries, Lions remain dedicated to advancing healthcare, education, environment, women’s empowerment, and youth development.
A Broad Spectrum of Service
The organization has consistently addressed healthcare needs through diabetes control, eye care, cancer detection, blood donation, and mental health initiatives. Recently, Lions organized a mental health awareness and counselling programme for ONGC Kendriya Vidyalaya students, helping adolescents cope with exam stress, anxiety, and the pressures of digital life.
In the sphere of women’s empowerment, Lions distributed 351 sewing machines and rolled out skill-training programs to enable women to achieve financial independence. Parallelly, a massive school eye check-up campaign has benefitted over 1.25 lakh children, ensuring early detection of vision problems and healthier futures.
For youth, Lions have launched business networking and leadership platforms, designed to foster entrepreneurship, peer collaboration, and career readiness among young professionals.
