In a significant morale-boosting visit, Air Vice Marshal P.V.S. Narayana, Additional Director General (A), HQ Directorate General NCC, concluded a three-day tour of the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman Nicobar (TN, P & AN) Directorate from November 2 to 4, 2025, reviewing training facilities and engaging closely with cadets and officers across multiple NCC establishments.

During his visit to the NCC Training Academy at Idayapatti, Madurai, Air Vice Marshal Narayana was taken around the campus, where he inspected the infrastructure facilities developed for cadets and interacted with them during an interactive motivational session. The cadets shared their experiences in leadership, adventure activities, and community service, receiving valuable guidance from the visiting officer.

On November 3, the ADG visited the Headquarters NCC Directorate (TN, P & AN) at Fort St. George, Chennai, where he was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by cadets of the 1 Tamil Nadu NCC Battalion. This was followed by an introduction to officers and a detailed briefing on the comprehensive range of NCC initiatives undertaken across the directorate — from youth leadership and disaster relief to environmental and social service campaigns.
On the concluding day, November 4, the Air Vice Marshal visited NCC Group HQ Chennai (B Group), 13 TN Battalion, and 1 TN (Air) Squadron, where he observed ongoing training sessions and interacted with cadets to assess their preparedness, motivation, and spirit of discipline.
The ADG’s interactions throughout the visit were marked by encouraging words and insightful guidance, aimed at strengthening the ethos of service and patriotism among NCC youth.
“The NCC continues to play a pivotal role in shaping disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens who will lead the nation with integrity and courage. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the cadets here in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are truly commendable,” said Air Vice Marshal P.V.S. Narayana.
His visit reaffirmed the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to nurturing youth leadership and empowering young citizens through structured training, discipline, and service to the nation — the hallmarks of the National Cadet Corps’ enduring legacy.
