The Women Development Cell (WDC) of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a comprehensive one-day training programme aimed at strengthening women’s safety, holistic well-being, and menstrual health awareness. The event was held at the university’s Seminar Hall at the Bhoyan Rathod Campus near Adalaj and saw enthusiastic participation from around 120 students and 41 faculty members.

The programme featured three insightful sessions — Swaraksha, Ancient Wisdom for Modern You, and Menstrual Health and Hygiene — led by expert facilitators Ms Aarti Parmar, Dr Prajna G, and Dr Ankita Chavan.
In the opening session on Swaraksha, Ms Parmar conducted an engaging, hands-on workshop empowering participants with practical self-defence techniques and essential safety strategies.
The post-lunch session by Dr Prajna G explored the relevance of integrating ancient Indian wisdom into contemporary lifestyles, offering participants simple yet impactful tools for balanced living.

The final session, led by Dr Ankita Chavan, focused on menstrual health, hygiene management, and creating an open dialogue to dispel myths and eliminate long-standing social stigmas around menstruation.
The day-long programme significantly contributed to building awareness on women’s safety, promoting emotional and physical well-being, and fostering informed, stigma-free conversations on menstrual health, encouraging participants to champion these conversations within their communities.
