Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), in partnership with Sabarkantha Police, has successfully concluded a Two-Day Capsule Course on SMART Policing held from November 24–25, 2025. The programme witnessed the participation of Dr. Parthrajsinh Gohil, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Sabarkantha, and Dr. Dharmeshkumar Prajapati, Registrar, RRU, who addressed and encouraged the trainees.
A total of 167 police officers underwent intensive, hands-on training across critical domains of modern policing — police investigation, cybercrime investigation, road safety and traffic management, crime scene examination, and a detailed understanding of provisions under the new criminal laws. Designed by RRU’s expert faculty, the sessions focused on enhancing field efficiency, evidence-based policing and operational readiness.

The initiative reflects the visionary guidance of the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister, who have emphasised the nationwide transition towards SMART (Strict and Sensitive, Modern and Mobile, Alert and Accountable, Reliable and Responsive, Tech-savvy and Trained) Policing. It also draws strength from the continued support of the Chief Minister of Gujarat, reinforcing the goals of the SMART Police City Project underway in Sabarkantha.
RRU reiterated its commitment to capacity building, professional excellence and strengthening national security through structured, research-driven training programmes that empower India’s police forces for the challenges of tomorrow.
