As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, conducted a Preventive Vigilance Training Programme on December 16, 2025, at the Conference Hall, SSB, in line with the guidelines issued by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

The programme was organised by the Capacity Building Unit (CBU), JIPMER, under the guidance of Dr. Vir Singh Negi, Director, JIPMER, and supervised by Dr. Ravi Kumar Chittoria, Officer-in-Charge, CBU, along with Shri Rangabashiam, Deputy Director (Administration).
The training was coordinated by Dr. Nanda Kishore Maroju, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), with administrative support from Shri Hawa Singh, Senior Administrative Officer (SAO).
Delivering the key session, Shri Amrithalingam V, Former Director of Accounts & Treasuries, Government of Puducherry, shared in-depth insights on preventive vigilance, ethical governance, financial discipline, transparency and accountability in public administration. The session highlighted the importance of proactive vigilance mechanisms and best practices to prevent irregularities and reinforce institutional integrity.
Nearly 100 employees from various departments and sections of JIPMER actively participated in the programme, underlining the Institute’s sustained commitment to capacity building, ethical conduct and good governance.
The initiative forms part of JIPMER’s ongoing efforts to sensitise employees on vigilance-related issues and to nurture a robust culture of integrity, transparency and accountability across the institution.
