AHMEDABAD, MAR 7
In a powerful tribute to the strength and resilience of women in uniform, CORONA Remedies organised a comprehensive health awareness initiative on International Women’s Day in association with the Ahmedabad Rural Police at Club O7.
Held on March 7, the event brought together 300 participants, including 250 policewomen and 50 women employees of CORONA Remedies, creating a meaningful platform dedicated to women’s health, well-being and empowerment.
The programme was graced by Vidhi Choudhary, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Ahmedabad Range (I/C), as the Chief Guest, and Om Prakash Jat, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Ahmedabad Rural, Gujarat, as the Guest of Honour. Senior leadership from CORONA Remedies welcomed and honoured the dignitaries with mementos for their contributions.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Vidhi Choudhary delivered a motivational message for the women officers.
She said that women in policing perform demanding duties that require both physical stamina and emotional resilience, and emphasised the need to prioritise health.
Her message underscored that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for women serving in challenging public-service roles.
Health awareness for women in uniform
The initiative focused on promoting holistic health awareness, combining preventive healthcare, medical education and activities aimed at supporting emotional well-being.
Participants were offered complimentary health screenings, including:
- Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests
- Neuropathy screening
- Hypertension checks
- Random blood glucose testing
- Haemoglobin screening
Such preventive tests help detect health concerns early, a critical step for women in demanding professions who often delay addressing their own health needs.
Expert guidance on women’s health
The event featured an insightful medical session by Dr Vandana Amin, a renowned obstetrician and gynaecologist.
She spoke on important health issues affecting women, including anaemia, pregnancy health, awareness about HPV vaccination and early detection of breast cancer.
The doctor highlighted the importance of timely screening and preventive care in improving long-term health outcomes for women.
The awareness initiative was complemented by a nutrition session led by Krishna Kothari, clinical dietitian and nutrition expert.
She educated participants about essential nutritional requirements for women, while sharing practical tips on dietary habits and lifestyle choices that can support long-term wellness.
Wellness beyond medicine
The programme also included rejuvenating activities aimed at promoting mental relaxation and stress relief.
A Sound Bath Meditation session and live music performance created a calming environment, helping participants unwind from the pressures of demanding professional responsibilities.
To further express appreciation for the dedication of women officers, organisers distributed gift hampers to all attendees, leaving them with a sense of gratitude and empowerment.
Through this initiative, CORONA Remedies reinforced its commitment to empowering women with knowledge, health resources and wellness practices, ensuring they are better equipped to care for their health while continuing to serve society.
