The Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Temple in Amraiwadi is set to host a grand and spiritually vibrant celebration of Hanuman Jayanti on April 2-Thursday, with a series of elaborate religious programmes culminating in a spectacular 11,000-lamp grand prayer ceremony.

Mahant Shri 1008 Shri Ranganathacharya Ji Maharaj announced that preparations are in full swing, with devotees across the city expressing immense enthusiasm to participate in the sacred occasion.

“A Celebration of Devotion and Collective Faith”

Mahant Ranganathacharya Ji Maharaj said: “There is immense enthusiasm among Hanuman devotees to celebrate this sacred birth anniversary. Preparations at the temple are in full swing, and the festival will be observed with great devotion, discipline, and grandeur.”

Day-Long Spiritual Schedule

The celebrations will begin early morning and continue till night, featuring a series of rituals:

  • 6:00 am: Morning awakening prayer and ritual offering
  • 8:30 am: Flag hoisting ceremony
  • 9:00 am – Noon: Recitation of sacred scripture by Shri Alok Pujari Ji
  • Noon: Main prayer ceremony, decorated deity viewing, and grand food offering (56 dishes)
  • 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: Distribution of blessed food
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Community meal service
  • 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Sacred fire ritual
  • 8:30 pm: Grand 11,000-lamp prayer ceremony

“Every Ritual Reflects Spiritual Energy”

Highlighting the significance of each programme, the Mahant said:

“From scripture recitation to the fire ritual and the grand prayer ceremony, every ritual is designed to invoke divine energy and bring peace, prosperity, and strength to devotees.”

“Faith that Illuminates Lives”

He further added: “The 11,000-lamp ceremony is not just a ritual, it is a symbol of collective faith. Each lamp represents hope, strength, and devotion in the lives of devotees.”

The temple, located on Rakhial Road, is expected to witness a large gathering of devotees throughout the day, turning the premises into a vibrant confluence of spirituality, tradition, and community service.
