“Youth must be very careful. If they get hurt, the hardship is theirs alone. They must prioritise their safety,” Rajinikanth said.
A message echoing after tragedy
The appeal comes in the shadow of the recent Karur tragedy, where 41 people reportedly lost their lives in a stampede during a political rally—highlighting the dangers of uncontrolled crowd enthusiasm.
Despite such incidents, scenes of fans rushing toward campaign convoys continue, raising serious concerns about public safety during high-voltage political mobilisation.
Education over excitement
Reinforcing the importance of discipline, Rajinikanth stressed that the student phase of life is irreplaceable and must not be compromised.
“If you miss this time meant for studies, you will suffer greatly later in life. Your entire thoughts and focus must be on your education,” he added.
Stay away from harmful influences
The veteran actor also issued a strong warning against substance abuse and negative peer pressure, urging young people to make conscious life choices.
“Do not become a slave to these habits. It will make your life and your family’s life hell. If you have friends who lead you towards such things, stay far away from them,” he advised.
Rajini’s signature line, a deeper reminder
Driving home his message with his trademark authority, Rajinikanth’s iconic dialogue resonates strongly in this context:
“Naan oru thadava chonna, nooru thadava chonna maadhiri.”
(If I say something once, it is as good as saying it a hundred times.)
The message is clear—value life, stay safe, and act responsibly.
