HYDERABAD / MATHURA, APR 16
In an extraordinary fusion of faith and filmmaking, the trailer of Krishnavataram was unveiled at the revered Krishna Janmabhoomi, transforming a routine cinematic event into a spiritually charged gathering.
What unfolded in Mathura—the birthplace of Lord Krishna—was not just a launch, but a collective spiritual experience. Devotional chants, temple bells and an overwhelming surge of devotees elevated the moment into what many described as a “living divine experience.”
The celebrations extended across sacred landmarks including Raman Reti Temple, Radha Rani Temple, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Vrindavan, turning the trailer unveiling into a multi-location spiritual movement rarely witnessed in Indian cinema.
Conceived as the first chapter of an ambitious trilogy, the film is helmed by Hardik Gajjar and backed by producers Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant of Creativeland Studios Entertainment, along with Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar of Athashrikatha Motion Pictures.
A Film Beyond Cinema
Positioned as more than just a visual spectacle, Krishnavataram seeks to reinterpret the timeless story of Lord Krishna through a deeply emotional and immersive cinematic lens. Drawing from centuries-old traditions of Krishna devotion, the film aims to connect with audiences at a spiritual level while delivering scale and grandeur.
The project brings together a formidable creative team: screenplay by Prakash Kapadia and Raam Mori, cinematography by Ayananka Bose, music by Prasad S, lyrics by Irshad Kamil, and production design by Chokkas Bhaardwaj. Costumes by Nidhi Yasha further promise authenticity and visual richness.
With global distribution by AA Films and music under Saregama, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 7.
