In a remarkable initiative blending spirituality, education and community development, Umiya Mataji Sansthan has announced an ambitious expansion project at its Sola Campus in Ahmedabad featuring a grand temple, state-of-the-art student hostels and a modern social event facility designed to serve society for generations.
Described as a “Triveni Sangam” of faith, education and social amenities, the project is rapidly emerging as one of Gujarat’s most significant community-driven infrastructure initiatives rooted in cultural heritage and youth empowerment.

The announcement was made in the presence of several senior office-bearers and trustees of the institution, including Babubhai J Patel, the President of the organization, Shri Pramukh Babubhai J Patel (BJP), Vice President Rameshbhai Dudhwala, Minister of the organization Jayatibhai Patel, Joint Secretary Mukeshbhai Badu, Trustee C.K. Patel, Chairman of Sola Campus P.C. Patel, Vice Chairman Pravin Patel (Ghatlodia), Coordinator Suresh Patel, Treasurer Hasmukh Patel, Organization President Pravinbhai, Chairman of the Construction Committee I.C. Patel.

A Temple Built on Faith, Tradition and Architectural Grandeur
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Babubhai J. Patel said the upcoming Umiya Mataji Temple would stand as an extraordinary example of traditional Indian architectural excellence.
The temple is being constructed entirely in the classic Nagar architectural style and, notably, without the use of any iron — a rare engineering and spiritual feature inspired by ancient temple-building traditions.
Instead, nearly two lakh cubic feet of pink sandstone from Bansipahadpur is being used to create the majestic structure.
According to officials, the temple will measure approximately 255 feet in length, 160 feet in width and rise to a height of 132 feet.
The temple complex will feature 92 intricately designed pillars, while its expansive sanctum will allow nearly 500 devotees to perform darshan simultaneously.
Keeping inclusivity in mind, two lifts are also being installed to ensure accessibility for elderly and specially-abled devotees.
A Modern Educational Hub for 1,600 Students
Alongside the spiritual centrepiece, the institution is also nearing completion of an ultra-modern boys’ and girls’ hostel complex aimed at supporting students pursuing higher education and competitive examinations.
Trustee C K Patel said the twin hostel towers featuring two basements, ground floor and 13 upper floors will together accommodate nearly 1,600 students.
The massive project spans more than 4.33 lakh square feet and includes:
- 400 furnished rooms
- Separate modern dining halls and kitchens
- E-libraries
- Modern gymnasiums
- Laundry and housekeeping facilities
- 24-hour hot water and mineral water supply
- Guest waiting lounges
- Spacious parking for 200 cars and 100 scooters
Importantly, the campus will also house the Umiya Career Development Council (UCDC), which will provide coaching and support for UPSC and GPSC aspirants, creating educational opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.
Community Infrastructure With a Social Purpose
The project also includes a sprawling and well-equipped Umiya Party Plot aimed at supporting social and cultural events.
Spread across a lush 40,000 sq. ft. lawn area with a capacity to host 2,000 people, the venue includes modern kitchens, AC bridal suites, spacious washroom facilities and dedicated parking infrastructure.
Officials said the objective is to create a community-focused ecosystem where spirituality, education and social life coexist harmoniously.

Community leaders believe the Sola Campus project represents more than physical infrastructure — it reflects a larger social vision centred on cultural preservation, youth development and inclusive growth.
As Ahmedabad continues to expand rapidly as an urban and educational hub, initiatives like these are increasingly being seen as models for combining heritage with modern amenities.
