GSFC University has significantly expanded its innovation and industry engagement ecosystem by signing six strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industrial, research and government organisations during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to delivering future-ready education through stronger academia-industry collaboration.
The six MoUs were signed with Farmson Basic Drugs Pvt. Ltd. (Nandesari, Vadodara), Indus Fire Safety (Vadodara), Alkem Laboratories Ltd. (Mumbai), Vasu Research Centre (Vadodara), the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat, and the ICMR–National Institute of Occupational Health Research (ICMR-NIOHR), Ahmedabad.
The strategic partnerships are designed to deepen engagement between academia and industry by creating new opportunities for applied research, technology transfer, product innovation, professional training and employment-oriented education.
The collaborations will also reinforce the University’s start-up and incubation ecosystem by nurturing innovation-driven ventures, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty, facilitating mentoring, and providing access to government-supported entrepreneurship programmes.
A key highlight is the collaboration with ICMR–National Institute of Occupational Health Research (ICMR-NIOHR), which will strengthen GSFC University’s B.Tech. Fire & Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programme through expert lectures, workshops and joint knowledge-development initiatives.
Under the partnership, students will gain valuable exposure through internships, dissertations and field research projects guided by ICMR-NIOHR scientists. They will work on real-world occupational health challenges spanning mining, ship recycling and industrial worker safety, while also benefiting from enriched curriculum inputs, specialised certifications and access to advanced research expertise and facilities.
Collectively, the six collaborations are expected to create a vibrant ecosystem for experiential learning, industrial exposure, interdisciplinary research and innovation, further advancing GSFC University’s mission of producing highly skilled professionals equipped to meet evolving industry demands.
The signing of these strategic MoUs at VGRC 2026 marks yet another milestone in GSFC University’s journey towards academic excellence, research leadership and innovation-led, future-ready education.
