MUMBAI, JULY 3

In a major boost for Indian tennis, Kia India has significantly expanded its association with the Tennis Premier League (TPL) by signing a multi-year agreement as the Principal Partner of all eight franchise teams, reinforcing its commitment to both professional tennis and grassroots talent development across the country.

Building on its successful association with the Kia Tennis Premier League announced in May, the automobile major will now have its branding prominently displayed on the front of the jerseys of every participating franchise, making it one of the most comprehensive sports partnerships in Indian tennis.

The eight franchises sporting the Kia India logo are:

  • Gurgaon Grand Slammers
  • Lucknow Blazers
  • Hyderabad Strikers
  • GS Delhi Aces
  • Gujarat Panthers
  • Kolkata Thunder Blades
  • Mumbai Royals
  • Rajasthan Rangers

The expanded collaboration marks a significant milestone in Kia India’s vision of contributing meaningfully to the growth of tennis in India by extending its support beyond the league to every participating franchise.

Going beyond sponsorship, the partnership also carries a strong developmental focus.

As part of the initiative, each of the eight franchise teams will conduct a free two-day tennis camp in its respective city for promising players between 10 and 18 years of age. Together, these programmes will deliver 16 days of structured grassroots tennis development across India.

The camps are designed to provide holistic athlete development through expert-led sessions by leading tennis coaches, sports nutritionists, physiotherapists and sports psychologists, equipping young players with both technical excellence and scientific sports education.

The Tennis Premier League has rapidly evolved into one of India’s leading franchise-based tennis competitions, providing an exciting platform for established stars and emerging talent alike.

Kia India’s expanded association with every franchise further strengthens the league’s mission of creating a sustainable ecosystem that not only promotes elite tennis but also invests in discovering and nurturing the next generation of Indian champions.

With Kia India now serving as the Principal Partner of all eight teams, the forthcoming season promises stronger franchise identities, greater fan engagement and a lasting legacy through initiatives that inspire young athletes to dream bigger and compete at the highest level.
