NAVSARI, JULY 5
Calling Aadhaar the cornerstone of India’s rapidly expanding digital governance ecosystem, Union Cabinet Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Paatil on Saturday urged citizens to keep their Aadhaar details updated and make full use of the country’s expanding digital identity infrastructure, as he inaugurated a state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) in Navsari.
Highlighting the transformative role of Aadhaar in ensuring transparent governance and seamless delivery of public services, Paatil said the new facility would make Aadhaar-related services significantly faster, more accessible and citizen-friendly.
“This modern ASK in Navsari will ensure faster, more convenient and transparent Aadhaar services for our residents. It is another milestone in realizing the vision of Digital India and expanding our national footprint.”
Established by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office Mumbai, the new Aadhaar Seva Kendra is designed to bring essential Aadhaar services closer to citizens while strengthening the country’s trusted digital identity ecosystem.
Located at Prabha Kunj Heights, Near Daboo Hospital, Sandhkuwa, Navsari, the centre will remain operational seven days a week, offering Aadhaar enrolment, demographic updates, free mandatory biometric updates for children between 5 and 17 years, and on-the-spot grievance redressal.
The centre has been equipped with modern infrastructure, including wheelchair accessibility, accessible washrooms and a dedicated Aadhaar Seva Kendra Manager to ensure smooth, hassle-free service for every visitor.
In another citizen-friendly initiative, UIDAI has enabled residents to pre-book appointments through its online portal, reducing waiting time and improving service efficiency. The authority has also integrated Aadhaar Seva Kendra locations with the Bhuvan Aadhaar Portal, enabling citizens to locate the nearest centre with ease.
As part of its future-ready strategy, UIDAI is also organising special biometric update camps in schools, ensuring that children complete mandatory biometric updates on time and continue to enjoy uninterrupted Aadhaar-linked services.

Officials said every Aadhaar Seva Kendra across the country is directly operated by UIDAI through its authorised partner, ensuring uniform service standards, robust data security and prompt grievance redressal.
The inauguration was attended by Rakesh Desai, MLA (Navsari); Bhurabhai Shah, President, BJP Navsari; Ashokbhai Dhorajiya, Mayor; Manish Gurwani, District Collector, Navsari; Rahul Patel, Superintendent of Police, Navsari; Capt. Lovekesh Thakur, Deputy Director General, UIDAI Regional Office Mumbai; Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Director, UIDAI; Sanju Bala, Deputy Director, UIDAI State Office Gujarat, along with senior administrative officers of the Government of Gujarat.
