NE BUSINESS BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, AUG 8

Before a single share of Dhoot Transmission Limited is offered to the wider investing public, 72 anchor investors have already put ₹918.27 crore behind the company—turning the pre-IPO book into a significant market signal ahead of its August 10 launch. The company has allotted 1,05,42,657 equity shares to anchor investors at the upper price band of ₹871 per share, setting the stage for its much-awaited initial public offering.

The shares carry a face value of ₹2 each, with ₹869 representing the share premium per equity share.

The anchor allocation brings institutional investors into the picture ahead of the public issue and provides the market with an early indication of institutional participation in the offering.

Mutual funds lead the anchor charge

Of the 1,05,42,657 equity shares allocated to anchor investors, 64,59,984 shares, or 61.27% of the total anchor allocation, have gone to eight domestic mutual funds through 46 schemes.

A further 9,21,895 equity shares, representing 8.74% of the anchor allocation, have been allotted to life insurance companies and pension funds.

The composition underscores the breadth of institutional participation ahead of the IPO, with the anchor book drawing investors from mutual funds, insurers, pension funds and global investment institutions.

Marquee names add weight to anchor book

The anchor book includes a wide range of prominent domestic and international investors.

Among those participating are SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, BlackRock, WhiteOak, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Axis Mutual Fund, Mirae, Nippon India Mutual Fund, Government Pension Fund, Pictet, Amundi Funds, Allianz Global Investors and Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.

Other participants include Tata Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, UTI Mutual Fund, PGIM India Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Sundaram Mutual Fund, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Axis Max Life Insurance, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund and 3P India Equity Fund, among others.

The diversity of the anchor book places the Dhoot Transmission IPO firmly on the institutional radar as the company moves towards its public-market debut.

IPO opens Monday; three-day window

Dhoot Transmission Limited proposes to open its IPO on Monday, August 10, 2026.

The Bid/Offer Closing Date is Wednesday, August 12, 2026, giving investors a three-day window to participate in the issue.

With the anchor allocation completed at the upper price band, attention now shifts to the broader subscription response as the IPO opens for investors.

The immediate market focus will be on whether the institutional interest reflected in the anchor book translates into equally strong participation across the wider investor base.
