AHMEDABAD, SEPT 9
There are moments when a hair-colour launch stops being about colour and becomes about character. Ahmedabad witnessed one such moment when Bollywood star Sharvari, with her unmistakable screen presence and fashion-forward persona, brought Godrej Professional’s newest colour universe to life—where hair is no longer merely styled, but becomes a canvas for confidence, mood, identity and self-expression.
At the heart of the showcase were Majesté, powered by Dimension, and Vybe, powered by Colour Play—two distinctly different colour stories unveiled by Godrej Professional, the professional hair brand of Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
If Majesté speaks the language of regal luxury, depth and gemstone brilliance, Vybe speaks in a more rebellious vocabulary of mood, individuality and fearless expression.
And Ahmedabad’s salon fraternity got to see both languages translated into high-fashion hair.
The immersive showcase brought together more than 200 hairstylists, salon professionals and salon owners, with Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head, Godrej Professional, leading a technique-driven session designed to help professionals translate global colour trends into personalised transformations.
The event also featured a high-fashion ramp showcase of directional looks from Majesté and Vybe, with Sharvari taking centre stage as the showstopper in a Vybe-inspired look.
Majesté: Where colour wears a crown
Powered by Dimension, Majesté is Godrej Professional’s no-ammonia colour range, built around an aesthetic of royalty, grandeur, power and elegance.
Its three signature shades create three very different interpretations of luxury.
Florence Gold, a brown-gold tone, delivers understated sophistication through rich depth and luminous reflections.
Roman Ember, a copper-brown shade, blends burnished brown with rich bronze tones, drawing inspiration from ancient empires while retaining a distinctly contemporary luxury appeal.
Parisian Rouge, a reddish-brown shade, dives into deep garnet, velvety wine and crimson reflections, evoking the glow of city lights and the drama of high fashion.
Together, the three shades give stylists a palette that moves beyond conventional colour application towards depth, dimension and personalised luxury.
Vybe: Colour with an attitude
If Majesté is the crown, Vybe is the pulse.
Powered by Colour Play, the high-performance colour system brings together three trend-led looks designed for consumers who want their hair to say something about who they are.
Chaos Mode brings cool-toned beige blondes for bold and fearless personalities.
Soft Launch interprets quiet luxury through rich, dimensional brunette blends.
And Main Character turns up the warmth with auburn-brown tones designed for personalities that naturally command attention.
The result is a colour vocabulary that allows stylists to move from subtle sophistication to unapologetic self-expression—depending on the client’s personality, mood and desired statement.
‘The best hair colour is one that makes you feel confident’
Sharvari, actress and Godrej Professional brand ambassador, said, “Hair has always been such an important part of how we express ourselves, and I love how Majesté and Vybe offer two very different ways to make that expression your own. Majesté has this beautiful sense of richness and elegance, while Vybe feels more playful, bold and personal.”
Reflecting on the Ahmedabad experience, she added, “Being here in Ahmedabad and seeing these looks come to life has been such an exciting experience. I think the best hair colour is one that makes you feel confident, reflects your personality and, most importantly, feels like you.”
Commenting on the launch, Sharvari said, “I love experimenting”, while stressing that she wanted to wear looks she felt comfortable and confident in.
The brainy with beauty also added that she had become “much more confident over the years” and enjoyed experimenting while remaining true to herself, adding that fashion should feel like “an extension of your personality, not a costume.”
That same philosophy runs through her Ahmedabad appearance—and perhaps explains why the Vybe look proved such a natural fit for the actor.
‘Two equally powerful sides of hair colour’
For Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head, Godrej Professional, the two collections represent complementary creative possibilities for the salon professional.
“With Majesté and Vybe, we are looking at two very different yet equally powerful sides of hair colour. Majesté is about timeless luxury, with Florence Gold, Roman Ember and Parisian Rouge drawing inspiration from the depth and brilliance of precious gemstones. Vybe, on the other hand, is about the energy you carry and translating that into colour through Chaos Mode, Soft Launch and Main Character,” he said.
“For us as stylists, both collections open a new creative canvas — allowing us to combine technique, precision and artistry to create colour that feels personal to every client. Global beauty is moving towards more individual and expressive colour, and we want to equip India’s salon community to lead that evolution,” Moolya added.
Beyond the colour bowl: building Gujarat’s salon talent
The Ahmedabad showcase was also part of a larger professional upskilling initiative in Gujarat, making education as important as product innovation.
The interaction with more than 200 salon professionals combined advanced colouring demonstrations, technique-building and trend interpretation, giving stylists practical exposure to ways of translating international colour movements into looks suited to individual Indian consumers.
For Godrej Professional, the approach reflects a broader ambition: strengthening the professional hair ecosystem by bringing together product innovation, technical education, global trends and stylist artistry.
The strategy also recognises an important transformation taking place inside India’s salons. Today’s consumers increasingly want hair colour that is not simply fashionable but personal—something that reflects their personality, lifestyle and confidence.
From Ahmedabad to the salon chair
The real test of any colour collection begins after the lights of the launch event fade—when a stylist sits across from a client and asks a deceptively simple question: “What do you want your hair to say about you?”
Majesté has an answer in gold, copper, garnet and wine.
Vybe answers in beige blonde, dimensional brunette and warm auburn.
And Godrej Professional is putting the tools, techniques and education into the hands of Gujarat’s salon professionals to turn those colours into individual stories.
With Majesté and Vybe now available at leading salons across Gujarat, the colour conversation is moving from simply following trends to owning one’s own shade of expression.
