Junior hockey delivers double delight
India’s junior men added another golden chapter with an emphatic 4-1 victory in the Asia Cup final, prompting the Prime Minister to hail what he called a “remarkable achievement.”
Modi said the emphatic victory reflected the “immense talent” of India’s young players and extended his best wishes to the entire team.
“Congratulations to our Junior Men’s Hockey Team on winning the Asia Cup with an emphatic 4-1 win in the final. It is indeed a remarkable achievement,” the Prime Minister posted.
He added: “This feat reflects the immense talent of our young players. Best wishes to the entire team!”
Junior women retain continental crown
The celebrations extended to the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team, which retained the Asia Cup after an impressive unbeaten campaign.
