For a family struggling to meet tuition fees, a scholarship is not merely financial assistance. That is the public-service purpose behind the Scholarship Alert series of Navjeevan Express, in association with Buddy4Study, which seeks to bring verified scholarship opportunities from corporate CSR initiatives, educational institutions, philanthropic organisations and charitable trusts to students and families across India.

But information has value only when it reaches the person who needs it.

The initiative therefore seeks to turn parents, teachers, school and college authorities, universities and career counsellors into ‘scholarship ambassadors’—people who can spot a deserving student, share the information and help ensure that financial hardship does not silently end an educational journey.

A scholarship opportunity can begin with a share

Several opportunities are currently available or approaching their application deadlines, covering students at different stages of education and across a range of disciplines.

Satya Scholarship Program 2026: An initiative of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, the programme offers 100% annual course fee coverage, along with accommodation and meal support, to eligible students pursuing 3–5-year undergraduate or integrated master’s programmes in Medical & Health Sciences. It is available to students from Punjab admitted to 12 selected institutes in Ludhiana district and to students from Ludhiana district admitted to select Top NIRF-Ranked Medical institutions across India.

DXC Progressing Minds Scholarship for Graduation Students in STEM 2026-27: A CSR initiative of DXC Technology, the programme supports women and transgender students pursuing undergraduate STEM studies across India, opening a pathway for students seeking careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Winnie Sun Scholarship 2026-27: Offered by the Lotus Petal Foundation, with support from its corporate partner, the scholarship supports female students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing MBBS, helping aspiring medical professionals continue their academic journey.

Santoor Scholarship Program 2026-27: The programme aims to support the undergraduate studies of young women from disadvantaged backgrounds in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, providing educational support to students seeking to progress into higher education.

Parivartan ECSS Programme 2026-27: This scholarship initiative seeks to support meritorious and financially underprivileged students from Class 1 through postgraduate level, making it relevant to families navigating financial challenges at different stages of education.

GEV Memorial Scholarship: An initiative of the GEV Scholarship Fund Trust, established in memory of Late Dr Goolam E. Vahanvati, the 13th Attorney General of India, the scholarship supports meritorious law students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate legal education in India.

Muskaan Scholarship Program 2.0 (2026-27): An initiative of Valvoline Cummins Private Ltd. (VCPL), the programme supports students in Classes 9 to 12 from southern, eastern and northeastern India. It aims to help children of commercial drivers, mechanics and students from the EWS category continue their education.

Eastman Powerup Eduskill Scholarship Program 2026-27: An initiative of Eastman Auto and Power Limited (EAPL), the programme supports engineering, diploma and management students from financially constrained backgrounds. It provides access to industry-relevant certification courses and financial assistance of up to ₹20,000, disbursed in a milestone-based manner upon course completion.

From awareness to action

For a teacher, it could be the student whose academic potential is clear but whose family is struggling with fees.

For a parent, it could be an opportunity that makes a daughter’s higher education more financially manageable.

For a school or college, it could be a scholarship notice circulated to hundreds of students.

For a counsellor, it could be the information that changes the trajectory of one young person’s career.
