Amidst the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the world’s largest dairy cooperative firm, Amul, on Wednesday, has launched an immunity booster beverage — Amul Haldi Doodh. Haldi doodh or golden milk also called Turmeric latte is known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It comes at a price of just Rs 30 for 200mL easy-open-end can, a company release said.
For centuries, traditional systems like Ayurveda have used turmeric, both fresh and as dried spice powder, to promote health. Turmeric is a widely researched spice commonly used in cooking, as a dietary supplement, and even for beauty purposes. Turmeric is also referred to as a superfood world over for various health-promoting properties.
Combined with the goodness of rich and creamy standardized Amul milk, turmeric makes for a perfect immunity booster beverage that has all the properties to stave off illness. Besides being healthy, Amul Haldi doodh is tasty with flavours of kesar and badam. This drink can be consumed regularly by any age group at any hour of the day.
The country is currently suffering from Covid ’19 pandemic and there is no cure from this disease as of now. In the wake of the virus outbreak, the AYUSH ministry has released guidelines for people to adopt preventive measures for self-care. It particularly recommends the people of India to consume Haldi doodh or golden milk to keep their immunity level high.
To send out the message of immunity milk, the company has also launched a nationwide TV and print media campaign. Available at all Amul parlours and retail counters, consumers can forever enjoy Amul Haldi doodh as their daily dose of immunity.
This product is being packed at the state of the art manufacturing plants in West and North India having a production capacity of 2,00,000 packs per day.
Amul is also ready with a range of more such natural and healthy drinks like ginger milk, tulsi milk, etc. that will be soon be launched in the market.
