The Fire & Security Association of India (Gujarat Chapter), a non-profit organisation, announced the launch of 5 Portable Trolley Mounted Disinfection Spray System to “AMC – Ahmedabad Fire & Emergency Services” to be used for sanitisation or disinfection of small lanes, poles & slum areas where the movement of fire tenders are not possible. It can be easily operated by one person and there is a considerable reduction in the consumption of water and disinfectant, an FSAI release said.
This unit is powered by petrol or diesel engine and can later be used to fight small fires as well. The system may even be carried to small villages to be used in case of emergency. The approximate cost of these 5-Trolleys is Rs 10 lakh.
In addition to the above Spray, System FSAI has also delivered 1 Sanitisation Tunnel and 30 PPE kits to the Ahmedabad Fire department.
It is to be noted that all of these products are developed by the FSAI with the active contribution of passionate member Mukesh Shah of SBJ with specially formulated COVID19 Task Force Chairman Pankaj Dharkar, Vice-Chairman Nimit Sheth, Chapter President & Secretary Pradip Sheth &Yash Majthia, respectively, to fight against COVID-19.
MF Dastoor (Chief Fire Officer, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) has personally witnessed the functionality of these products and has expressed his appreciation and gratitude towards FSAI for developing and promoting these innovative products which can be used by the masses for disinfecting their premises post lockdown before resuming their operations. He has well-acknowledged this move of FSAI to come one step forward and set up a way for others to follow.
