The ‘Visionary’ Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, came to the rescue of a four-year-old blind girl by ordering the officials to arrange her treatment.
Media reports were brought to the notice of Jagan on Tuesday. the Chief Minister who had said humanity is his religion on Monday ordered the officials to begin the required medical treatment to the girl, says sources in the government.
The Chief Minister enquired about the child’s health condition and spoke to the parents of Hema, who hail from Kadiyapulanka village of Kadiyam Mandal in East Godavari District.
A day after the launch of YSR Aarogya Asara, which provides sustenance allowance to the patients, the Chief Minister said that the government has already decided to make major reforms in the health sector to address all such issues.
He has given instruction to the officials to start required treatment for cancer patients and said that the government is providing treatment for the required cycles of treatment for cancer patients.
“Unlike in the past, there shall be no upper limit for treatment of cancer patients under Aarogyasri and this will be implemented from January 1.” Jagan directed the officials to provide treatment for emergency cases that come before January 1.
