NEW DELHI, NOV 6
To commemorate the Indian Armed Forces’ stellar victory over Pakistan in 1971 which led to the creation of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Defence has decided to celebrate the 50th year of the historic victory as the Swarnim Vijay Varsh. The year-long celebrations will begin in December this year and culminate on December 16, 2021, in a befitting manner, a Defence release said.
The Ministry of Defence proposes to commission a distinct logo which will uniquely identify all events connected to the Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations as a mark of tribute to the Armed Forces. Towards that end, the Ministry of Defence invites Logo Designs from Indian Citizens with creative minds.
Contestants may adhere to the following guidelines while designing the logo:
(a) Logo should be so designed that participation of all three Services — Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force — be depicted.
(b) Logo should commemorate the achievements of our Armed Forces rather than mocking or maligning our adversary.
(c) Weapon or equipment, if depicted in logo, should be the one which was used by the Indian Armed Forces during 1971 War.
(d) All quotes used in the logo to be bilingual (English and Hindi).
The last date of submission of entries is November 11. 2020. The winning logo will be awarded a cash prize of Rupees 50,000 (Rs. Fifty thousand only).
