To create awareness among the citizens on the sacrifices and service rendered by the Indian Armed Forces, Kendriya Sainik Board organizes the Armed Forces Flag Day Painting Competition, through MyGov platform. The theme of the contest is ‘Tribute to Armed Forces Veterans’.  The last date of submission of Artwork is November 30, 2020, and it’s open to all, says a release.

Armed Forces Flag Day is observed on December 7 every year throughout the country to honour the men in uniform who safeguard the country against enemies, both at the border and in the hinterland. On this day the services rendered by personnel of the Army, Navy and Air Force are remembered. The red, deep blue and light blue colours of the flag represent the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, respectively.
