Raheja QBE General Insurance (RQBE), India’s leading general insurance brand has launched a new health product -‘Arogya Sanjeevani Policy’. This standard health insurance policy has been introduced under the guidelines of IRDAI and will offer cover against medical expenses incurred due to hospitalization and other medical treatments, says a release.
The Arogya Sanjeevani Policy by RQBE provides an essential health insurance cover of Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakhs at an affordable premium. This coverage is available on an individual and family floater sum insured basis. The policy also covers COVID-19 related hospitalization and its treatment, as well as the pre and post hospitalization expenses, home-care treatment, road ambulance, and AYUSH treatment. In addition to these, the policy also covers specialised treatments like Uterine Artery Embolization and HIFU, Balloon Sinuplasty, Oral Chemotherapy, and Immunotherapy to name a few.
The policyholders may choose to make payment of the premium amount in instalments (Annual, Half yearly, Quarterly or Monthly) with a lifetime renewal benefit. The premium for ‘Arogya Sanjeevani Policy’ will start with Rs 1,823 plus GST (for 1 Lakh SI; age – 18 – 25 yrs) and will vary depending on the age of the policyholder and sum insured opted for.

This essential health insurance policy covers pre-hospitalization expenses for up to 30 days and post-hospitalization expenses for up to 60 days. Additionally, this policy will cover COVID-19 related hospitalization expenses like other health indemnity policies.
