Logistics major Shree Maruti Courier Services is aggressively expanding its network to extend the reach in every nook and corner of India. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, the company is planning to add 2,000 cities and towns of the country in their network and aiming to achieve Rs. 1,000 crore turnover in the next five years.
At present, Shree Maruti Courier Services has a nationwide network of over 2,650 outlets and round the clock working at 89 regional offices across India. The company has a presence in 868 cities & towns and serving to 4,600 Pin Codes, says a top official of the company.
Elaborating the details on the plan, Ajay Mokariya, Managing Director, Shree Maruti Courier Services Pvt Ltd said, “Despite challenging business environment, we are witnessing an increasingly strong demand across the markets. With the aggressive expansion plan, we are aiming to add additional 7,500 unique pin codes across the country. The company has added new products/verticals of Surface cargo and upgraded international segment by opening up 6 new gateways recently. The same will ensure to achieve a target of Rs 1,000 crore turnover in next five years. Keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission, we are proud to contribute to India’s growth story and aiming to generate 10,000 employment opportunities with this expansion”.
Over the years, Shree Maruti Courier has positioned itself as a pioneer name for timely and accurate deliveries of couriers and parcels. From a turnover of Rs. 57 crore in FY 2013-14, the company took a huge leap in overall growth and registered Rs. 345 crore turnover in FY 2019-20. For the FY 2021-22, the company plans to open 3,190 new unique Pin Codes, which will cover 900+ new locations. Out of these 900+ new locations, 200 will be main cities and rest will be tier-2 and tier-3 cities and towns. With this aggressive expansion plan, Shree Maruti Courier is targeting to have a network in 2,500 cities & towns with around 4,000 outlets at the end of FY 2022.
Shree Maruti Courier is on track to become one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in India. The company is majorly focusing on South, North-East and Upper North and interiors of all States, UTs and other areas where there are huge opportunities/scope for express and cargo business. Metro and megacities contribute to about 65% of the business whereas Rural, Semi-urban, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities enjoy around 35% share of the overall business.
The company is also investing a big for setting up warehouses for smoother and faster deliveries of parcels and cargo. At present, the company has 89 warehouses across the country and planning to add 150 in the coming five years. Having a strong network, dedicated staff, and technological expertise, Shree Maruti Courier is betting big on the logistics business. The company handles 2.5 lakhs courier and consignments on a daily basis through air and surface transport routes.
