All stakeholders of the media industry — advertisement agencies, public relation firms and journalists, including media barons — in India in general, Vibrant Gujarat in particular, have adapted the former to cope up with the COVID-induced lockdown in boosting the country’s economy to certain extent.

By adapting the advancement in technologies the media has been playing a very significant role in keeping everyone updated about the various events around the world. With the help of various media — electronic media, print media and web media — the mass communication method is accomplished in a suitable way. Media plays an important role for the whole society and its economy despite the onslaught of the pandemic.
To understand the importance and role of Media in today’s scenario a virtual Conclave called “AMECON – Advertising, Media and Events” was organized on zoom platform by BH Club and SMS PR in association with Approach Media and Pragati Incorporation and many experts of these respective fields were invited to discuss and debate on the role of Advertising, PR and Innovative Events in current times which help brands evolve better and effectively communicate withtheir target customers.
Subhojit Sen of SMS PR who moderated the event highlighted the importance of 4Ps of Marketing and how it has evolved into new meanings. He also highlighted the fact Media plays a very important role in helping Economies and Civilizations to grow. Paresh Dave of BH Club also invited the huge pool of Corporates, SMEs, Communication Professionals and Students who joined in the programme and shared a bird’s eye view of BH Club and its plans.
The expert speakers – Ashok Abraham (An advertising and media consultant and founder of Esign Adda), Dr. Shashikant Bhagat (Senior Faculty – NIMCJ), Saurin Basu (Founder – AVER Media), Tapan Yagnik (Director – Approach Media ) and Pratibha Samar (Founder and Managing Director – Pragati Incorporation) shared their experiences and views with the audience. Dr, Honey Talreja of Happy Living Imperia also gave away gift vouchers to all participants who joined the programme.
In recent times there has been lots of discussions and debates regarding the role of Media in the society and lots of fingers have been pointed towards the role of Media. Due to the pandemic people have disconnected their cable channels and the print orders of Newspapers have also diminished but the conclave concluded about how Media shares knowledge and information to the society, It helps raise our consciousness and raise voice against issues and problems, helps educates the society, helps provides live feed of events and most importantly it such an essential medium of communication for Marketing world which we cannot choose to ignore.
