The lioness that killed a five-year-old boy in Ujiya village near Gir forests in Rajula taluka of Amreli district last Monday has been nabbed with two cubs on Tuesday.
Chief Conservator of Forest of Junagadh DT Vasavada said that the lioness and the two cubs were trapped in the cage which was kept in that village after the incident. It had attacked a five-year-old boy Ashok while he was sleeping with his family on a farm during the midnight on Monday.
The incident took place near the Rajula range of the Shetrunji division of the East Gir forest. The forest department had placed a ring cage near the farm after the incident to trap the lioness.
