The School of Criminology and Behavioural Sciences (SCBS) of Rashtriya Raksha University on Monday announced the inauguration of an RRU Mental Health Center at the Community Health Center in Dahegam in Gandhinagar district.
After the inauguration, Chief Guest Dr Anand Kumar Tripathi, Pro Vice-chancellor of RRU, described the importance of raising awareness of mental health and how to improve mental health simply by talking to people. Vision of the initiative as Lakshay, Disha, Gati was led by ND Swami Narayan, superintendent of CHC. The mission is to maintain a good mental health and set the goal by working in the same direction at a reasonable pace. He showed interest in the psychological aspects of mental health.
Commenting on this initiative, Dr SL Vaya, Director of SCBS, said, “RRU is the first university to invest in various educational courses as well as trained workforce and infrastructure to provide mental health counseling services.”
Dr Ajay Chauhan, Secretary, State Mental Health Authority, Govt of Gujarat also attended the opening ceremony of RRU Mental Health Service Center as the distinguished guest.
