To commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 73rdRepublic Day was celebrated at Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The Chief Guest Group Captain Gerard Galway, Station Commander, Air Force Station Samana laid the wreath on Shourya Stambh – the War Memorial of martyrs and unfurled the Tricolour followed by the national anthem, magnificent march-past was showcased by the cadets.
Cadet Aditya Kumar and Cadet Anurag Pandey expressed the importance and greatness of Republic Day in Hindi and English respectively.
An Inter House Drill Competition was also organized. All the marching contingents of senior houses showed their might in the field of bearing and turnout, marching, saluting and coordination. Tagore House was declared as the winner.
The Chief Guest in his address emphasized on the sense of patriotism and belongingness towards the nation. He congratulated the cadets for the wonderful display of march-past and for well-coordinated programme.
He wished class XII cadets for their upcoming NDA exams and SSB interviews. He congratulated the staff members for their selfless dedication. The event culminated with the Passing-out Parade of class XII in which the Chief Guest took the salute.
