The trailer and audio of Kalaippuli S Thanu’s ‘Selfie’ were recently launched in Chennai.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, director Vetrimaran said, “The wise man is the one who has self-respect. Madhimaran came to me with a short film. I looked at it and took him with me. He had the energy for a good movie. Madhimaran Jr reaches the fever pitch while shooting. But his work in post production is huge. ‘Selfie’ shooting was finished in 29 days which was amazing.”
“We need to be aware of our shortcomings. The good thing is that Thanu thought he would take this film. Thanu will give a thing around the film. Thank you so much to him. I thought I should not say one thing. Madhimaran never showed up as my cousin anywhere. It was Madhimaran’s father who named me Vetrimaran. He is my uncle. I looked at the picture and talked to him. I said I liked it. Of course, I hope everyone will like this film. ” added Vetrimaran
Director Madhimaran said, “I am proud that Mishkin accepted the invitation at short notice and attending this trailor launch event. This can be taken for granted. Vetrimaran Sir looked at my short film and hired me as an assistant. He said how much work you do as an assistant director will become a reflection of your film. ‘Selfie’ movie is the training I took from him. We came to take a picture after seeing them. I told my assistant directors that the winner would continue to win. Madhimaran is the one who came to the workshop of success like that.

Gunanithi said, “Thanu Sir called me on phone in 2018 and introduced me to Madhimaran. We really liked the story told by Madhimaran. We helped a lot to make the film. In the present situation it is very difficult to produce a film and release it in the theatre. If it’s possible now, it’s the only reason. GV Prakash is very lovable. I played a small role in the movie ‘Selfie.’ Madhimaran is very proud to have starred in the movement.
