The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Committee on MSME and Start-up or MSME of ICAI has signed an agreement with Facilitating MSMEs Tamil Nadu, an Autonomous Body Registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, aimed at facilitating Capacity Building of MSMEs and Startups in Tamil Nadu.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Facilitating MSMEs Tamil Nadu and the MSME of ICAI in Tirupur in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday.
- ICAI through MSME of ICAI will carry out the following activities for Capacity Building of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- This MoU was signed between Facilitating MSMEs Tamil Nadu and the MSME of ICAI in Tirupur in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday.
This Memorandum of Understanding commenced on Thursday, August 25, 2022 and shall remain in force for a period of three years and thereafter it may be further extended with written mutual consent of the parties, says a joint release.
Under this MoU, the Government of Tamil Nadu will provide all help and facilitate clearances necessary for building the Capacity of MSMEs and Startups in association with the ICAI.
ICAI through MSME of ICAI will carry out the following activities for Capacity Building of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- Holding Investor/ Exporters Meet for the MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- Dissemination of the Schemes of MSMEs and Startups carried out by Government of Tamil Nadu through publications and ongoing joint Programmes for MSMEs and Startups.
- Encouraging exchange of information and experiences in policy setting and research on the development of MSMEs and Startups in areas of mutual interest;
- To provide the knowledge base endeavours for Capacity Building of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- Stimulating the development of industrial potential surveys and feasibility studies to identify thrust areas and opportunities for development of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- Providing MSME Exchange Programme wherein Capacity Building of MSMEs carried out through various programmes i.e. ICAI MSME Help Desk, ICAI MSME Illumination and CA Exchange services and Startups Exchange Program for carrying out the capacity building of Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu.
- Resolving the Queries/ Grievances of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu through the Branches of ICAI.
- Any other endeavour for development of MSMEs/ Startups in areas of mutual interest;
- The Parties shall exchange research results, studies and informational materials as well as participate in joint projects aiming at the promotion of MSMEs and startups development.
- The Parties shall promote the organization of joint seminars, meetings and conferences with the participation of representatives of MSMEs and Startups and business support institutions in the state of Tamil Nadu.
- Other areas as may be mutually decided upon between both parties for Capacity Building of MSMEs and Startups in the State of Tamil Nadu
