NE EDUCATION BUREAU

AHMEDABAD, FEB 26

Stating that digital education will never be able to replicate the familiarity and holistic development associated with physical classrooms, Aakash+BYJU’S, the national leader in test preparatory services, on Saturday inaugurated its first classroom centre in Nikol, fifth in Ahmedabad..

To further the motto of expanding its network to various parts of the country to help thousands of students realise their dreams of becoming doctors and IITians, the institute will open six more centres in the state, including two in Ahmedabad, which will take its total tally to 17 from the present 11, a senior official of the company said.

Regional Director Amit Rathore said, “The new centre will have 10 classrooms accommodating up to 421 students. All faculties are appointed by the company’s headquarters in New Delhi after holding stringent screening tests and posted all over the country. To cater to the needs of the Gujarati-medium students, the institute has started hunting for qualified and competent teachers.”

To a query on the impact of COVID-induced lockdown, Rathore said, “In the larger interest of the students, the institute has adopted hybrid mode of teaching online during the last two years. The fee for various courses range between Rs 70,000 and Rs 4.5 lakh. The company has started setting up Byju’s Tuition Centres all over the country as separate entities for students of Std 4 to 10. These students will join Aakash to pursue coaching for NEET, JEE etc.”

Located on 2nd Floor, Unit No. 206 to 213, Building Suvas Scala, Nikol, Ahmedabad, the Classroom Centre will cater to students preparing for Medical and Engineering Entrance Examinations along with Foundation-level courses that help them prepare for various types of competitive examinations e.g. Olympiads etc. apart from strengthening their basics. The Centre will also offer Gujarati medium courses for all Classes 8-12.

This will be the fifth centre of Aakash+BYJU’S in Ahmedabad as the company already has four centres in the city in Chandkheda, Maninagar, Ambavadi and S.G. Highway.

The Classroom Centre was inaugurated by Amit Rathore, Regional Director, Aakash+BYJU’S. Also present were Girish Sadhwani, Regional Sales and Growth Head;  Asheesh Sati, Cluster Head; and Govind Kumar Jha, Branch Manager, Nikol.

Speaking about the inauguration of the new centre, Aakash Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aakash+BYJU’S said: “The First Classroom centre in Nikol, Ahmedabad will be a big boon for local students aspiring to clear Olympiads and prepare for becoming doctors and IITians. Today, Aakash+BYJU’S is widely known for providing quality education throughout the country through its Pan-India network of Centres. The quality of our educational content and the effectiveness of our teaching methodologies, as evidenced by the number of selections of students, have made Aakash+BYJU’S one of the top choices for students intending to qualify for undergraduate medical and engineering courses.”

Added Chaudhry, “We are very pleased to open our first classroom centre in Nikol,  Ahmedabad and expand our footprint in Gujarat. The addition of this branch to our national network reflects our commitment to offering standardized quality teaching, modern infrastructure and an environment conducive for learning to students across India, using technology-enabled systems.”

Students who wish to take admission in Aakash+BYJU’S can either take the instant Admission cum Scholarship Test (iACST) or register for ANTHE (Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam).
