To woo woman voters of Thaltej ward in Ahmedabad, AAP Thaltej ward candidate, and party’s business cell president Rohit Khanna along with party workers on Sunday organized a drawing competition for kids between 2 years and 15 years in the residential area of Ajanta Ellora , Thaltej here, a release said.
The three-hour-long event was conducted at a community temple with the blessings of all senior citizens. At most care of social distancing, proper hygiene and sanitation of each kid were observed.
Speaking to navjeevanexpress.com, Rohit Khanna said, “This is a unique campaign strategy to reach out to women, especially mothers to get feedback on the problems being faced by them. Despite the area being represented by BJP Corporators for the last 20 years, the ruling party has failed to resolve the basic infrastructures like proper roads and gutters. The local residents are mostly dependent on tube well water. AAP will address these issues on a priority basis to mitigate the hardships of our womenfolk.”
Recently, AAP had held a business conclave in Ahmedabad which saw the participation of the party’s national spokesperson and Delhi MLA Atishi Singh, AAP Gujarat president Gopal Italia, and AAP Business Cell, Ahmedabad President Rohit Khanna.
Aam Aadami Party had already released two lists of candidates for the ensuing local body polls in the state. With this, the voters will get to know the credentials of their representatives well in advance and elect honest persons to install corruption-free local bodies like Delhi Government, added Khanna.
