With the current nationwide lockdown, everyone has their unique way of destressing and staying focused. Given the amount of time that people now have on their hands, it’s best if they spend it doing something positive that helps them remain happy and composed during these stressful times.

Actress Riya Shukla, aka Pinky from COLORS’ show Naati Pinky ki Lambi Love Story, also feels the same and urges people to maintain their calm and stay positive through the extended lockdown. Truth be told the actor practices what she preaches. As part of her daily morning routine, the actress spends a few hours refreshing her mind and soul through a dedicated yoga and meditation session. Known to help destress, meditation is key to peaceful living.
Riya says, “Just like my character Pinky, I too am a very positive person in life. I believe in giving out good vibes because everyone likes a person with a positive attitude.”
And what’s the secret to her chirpier self? “Yoga and meditation have helped me tremendously. Whenever I am feeling low, I make it a point to put on some calming music, light some incense and meditate. I lock myself in my happy place at such times and that gives me a lot of energy to be positive and face obstacles. Yoga is also very helpful in alleviating stress and has become a part of my daily morning routine now. Besides, it also keeps you agile and fit!”
