The launch is being viewed as a significant strategic step in AAHL’s larger vision of transforming airports into next-generation urban lifestyle destinations.
Airport Ecosystems Move Beyond Transit
The launch comes shortly after AAHL’s partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop airport-linked hotels across major Indian cities, signalling a larger shift toward integrated airport urbanisation models.
Strategically located near Ahmedabad airport and the rapidly growing GIFT City financial hub, Maison Twenty-Seven aims to cater to travellers, business executives, families and urban consumers seeking premium experience-led spaces.
Industry experts say the concept reflects evolving consumer behaviour where airports are increasingly emerging as lifestyle, work and leisure destinations rather than mere transit infrastructure.
“Future of Modern Indian Living and Travel”
Speaking on the launch, Ranjit Bindra, Founder of Bastian Hospitality, said:
“Maison Twenty-Seven represents an important evolution for Bastian Hospitality as we complete ten years of creating experiential dining and lifestyle destinations in India. We wanted to build a space that responds to how modern consumers increasingly travel, work, recover and connect. Ahmedabad, with the rapid growth around SVPIA and GIFT City, offered the perfect environment for a concept that brings together hospitality, wellness and community in a globally relevant format.”
The project also marks Bastian Hospitality’s entry into Ahmedabad after establishing premium hospitality destinations across Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
Wellness Takes Centre Stage
Actor, entrepreneur and wellness advocate Shilpa Shetty, co-founder of Bastian Hospitality, highlighted the changing meaning of wellness in urban lifestyles.
“Wellness today is no longer limited to fitness. It shapes how people travel, recharge, spend time with family and build meaningful everyday experiences. What makes Maison Twenty-Seven special is the way it brings together recovery, hospitality, dining and community within one thoughtfully designed space that feels both elevated and inclusive,” she said.
At the core of the destination is an expansive wellness centre offering:
- Cryotherapy
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
- Hot and cold plunge pools
- Steam and sauna facilities
- Dry flotation therapies
- Yoga and sound healing studios
- Indoor and outdoor fitness zones
- Salon and recovery experiences
The concept has been positioned as a modern urban retreat focused on restoration, mindfulness and community engagement.
Gujarat’s Craft Culture Finds Space in Luxury Hospitality
The project also integrates Gujarat’s rich artistic and craft traditions into its design philosophy by creating dedicated opportunities for regional artists and artisans to showcase their work within the property.
Architecturally, Maison Twenty-Seven has been built around immersive experiential spaces featuring sculptural lighting, lush greenery, layered social zones and expansive indoor-outdoor dining areas.
Family-oriented entertainment zones, co-working lounges, gaming arcades and dedicated children’s spaces further expand the destination’s multi-generational appeal.
“Reimagining Airports as Lifestyle Ecosystems”
Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, described the launch as part of a broader transformation strategy.
“At Adani airports, we are reimagining airports as dynamic lifestyle and social ecosystems that extend far beyond travel. Maison Twenty-Seven reflects our commitment to creating experiences that are immersive, future-ready and rooted in evolving consumer aspirations. From hospitality and wellness to dining and community spaces, every aspect of the destination has been shaped through a deeply hands-on approach to how modern travellers and urban consumers want to engage, pause and connect. As Ahmedabad and GIFT City continue to emerge as globally significant growth hubs, we believe destinations like Maison Twenty-Seven will redefine the role airports play in shaping urban experiences,” he said.
Premium Travel Meets Lifestyle Experiences
AAHL’s premium passenger assistance platform Pranaam will also allow travellers to seamlessly experience Maison Twenty-Seven’s offerings without worrying about boarding procedures, reinforcing the airport operator’s premium travel strategy.
Maison Twenty-Seven officially commenced dinner services from May 21, 2026.
