In what could become one of the most transformative industrial collaborations in India’s artificial intelligence journey, Adani Group and global manufacturing giant Jabil Inc. have announced their intention to forge a strategic alliance to establish a world-class, vertically integrated AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing platform in India.
The proposed collaboration is designed to create a comprehensive ecosystem for manufacturing next-generation AI infrastructure, positioning India as a major global production and export hub for advanced AI hardware while significantly strengthening international technology supply chains.
The alliance combines Jabil’s six decades of engineering innovation, advanced manufacturing expertise and hyperscale data centre capabilities with Adani Group’s unmatched infrastructure network, green energy portfolio, logistics ecosystem and rapidly growing data centre footprint, creating a powerful platform to address the accelerating global demand for AI-ready infrastructure.
At the heart of the partnership is an ambitious plan to establish multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity, producing next-generation liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage systems and networking solutions through advanced surface mount technology and sophisticated system integration processes.
Beyond computing infrastructure, the alliance envisions building a complete AI hardware ecosystem encompassing Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), transformers, switchgears, bus bars and advanced thermal management technologies, enabling customers to access end-to-end infrastructure solutions from a single integrated platform.
The initiative is strategically positioned to capitalise on a global AI infrastructure opportunity estimated at more than USD 3 trillion over the next seven years, driven by unprecedented investments in artificial intelligence computing capacity worldwide.
The collaboration also complements Adani Group’s USD 100 billion commitment to develop 5 GW of green energy-powered hyperscale AI-ready data centres by 2035, reinforcing India’s ambition to become a global digital infrastructure leader.
India’s rapidly expanding data centre market, expected to reach between 5 GW and 8 GW by 2030, coupled with increasing cloud adoption, AI deployment, data localisation requirements and supportive government policies, provides a robust foundation for the alliance’s long-term growth strategy.
The Union Budget 2026’s tax incentives for data centres until 2047 are expected to further enhance India’s competitiveness as a global manufacturing destination for advanced AI infrastructure.
Describing the collaboration as a defining moment for India’s technological future, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, said: “The world is entering an Intelligence Revolution more profound than any previous Industrial Revolution. Nations that master the symmetry between energy and compute will shape the next decade. India is uniquely positioned to lead. Our alliance with Jabil represents a decisive step in building India’s complete AI infrastructure stack — from green power generation to world-class hardware manufacturing. Together, we will ensure India is not merely a consumer in the AI age, but a creator, builder, and exporter of intelligence.”
Echoing the strategic importance of the partnership, Mike Dastoor, CEO, Jabil, stated: “This strategic collaboration with Adani Group is another step forward in our efforts to create long-term value for customers throughout the AI ecosystem by offering scalable solutions across the product lifecycle. By combining Jabil’s more than sixty years of engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s formidable infrastructure and energy platform, we can expect to execute down to the rack level for hyperscalers and enterprises here in India and across the globe. As India becomes one of the world’s fastest-growing AI markets, the country’s skilled workforce and supportive business environment make it an attractive destination for this collaboration.”
More than a manufacturing partnership, the Adani–Jabil alliance represents a strategic blueprint for India’s next phase of industrial growth—anchoring high-value deep-tech production within the country, creating thousands of specialised engineering jobs and accelerating the nation’s transition into a globally competitive AI innovation and hardware manufacturing powerhouse.
As artificial intelligence reshapes industries and economies worldwide, the proposed platform has the potential to place India at the centre of the global AI infrastructure revolution, delivering cutting-edge technology engineered, manufactured and exported from Indian soil.
