In a remarkable feat during a critical moment, the Adani Ports Fire team displayed exceptional valour, rescuing 11 lives from the throes of a menacing fire near Mundra’s zero-point area. The swift and commendable response from APSEZ’s Fire Department averted a potential catastrophe, securing the safety of those affected.
A fire incident sparked by a late-night electrical short circuit near Mundra zero point recently erupted into a formidable blaze. The ferocity of the flames engulfed the area, shrouding it in dense smoke, threatening the lives of those trapped within the building.
Amidst the escalating crisis, people nearby Ashish Arcade Building faced an imminent threat. Upon receiving emergency call, the Adani Fire team promptly mobilized to the scene and collaborated seamlessly with local authorities to contain the raging fire.
The fire team encountered a significant challenge in their efforts to access the building as the fire originated at the building’s gate. However, their quick thinking and resourcefulness allowed them to deploy a ladder through a window, ensuring a strategic entry point for rescue operations.
Through their valiant efforts, the Adani Fire Safety Department successfully rescued 11 individuals in distress. They evacuated 7 youths via the portable ladder of fire services and two fire operator send with self-contained breathing apparatus set to provided support to trapped one family due to single stairs was not approachable due to fire in electrical meter kept at entry & exit and courageously extricated one family (Huband & Wife), including two children, from the perilous situation.
Utilizing two number 9 kg dry chemical fire extinguishers and two number 4.5 kg carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, the team diligently worked to suppress the blaze. Despite not completely extinguishing the fire, they effectively controlled it by employing waterfalls and swiftly shutting off the power supply.
The timeliness and efficiency exhibited by the fire department were pivotal in averting a grave tragedy. Any delay in their response amid such challenging circumstances could have resulted in fire consequences for the 11 individuals rescued.
